Two European governments are considering utilizing the technology being developed by the creator of the new cryptocurrency AML BitCoin.

Governments in Estonia and Slovenia have entered into talks with NAC Foundation LLC; the developer of AML BitCoin, NAC CEO Marcus Andrade revealed on 16 November 2017. Andrade met officials from those nations while attending the European Union Digital Summit in Tallinn, Estonia.

The most important official Andrade met was Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administration Boris Koprivnikar. Koprivnikar expressed interest in the use of AML BitCoin’s platform as an identification technology.

Other officials interested in AML BitCoin included; Estonian Member of Parliament Kalle Palling, Slovenian National Assembly Deputy Matej Tonin, and Marek Pajussar from the Estonian Financial Supervision Authority. Tonin is interested in using NAC’s technology for cybersecurity and cryptocurrency regulation. Pajussar thinks his agency might utilize the KYC and AML protocols and procedures created for AML BitCoin.

In addition to those meetings, Andrade staged a presentation about his project for the Estonian E-Residency team. The E-Residency team is developing procedures that would allow people from all over the world to become legal residents of the Republic of Estonia. The team is also reportedly investigating the possibility of creating a national cryptocurrency for Estonia.

“Because of its AML/KYC (anti-money laundering/know your customer) features, AML BitCoin is the digital currency that is most able to engage in mainstream commerce, taking its place among traditional payment options,” Andrade said.

Estonia and Slovenia are Eastern European countries that are members of the EU. Andrade hopes that they will be the first of many countries that adopt AML BitCoin.
