In early 2016, I started the largest project of my 20+ year career – The Ethereal Visions Illuminated Tarot Deck. When I began that project I knew very little about the tarot or the rich history it enjoyed. Coming from a traditional fine art background I was fascinated with the heavy symbolism each card in the Rider-Waite deck possessed and felt honored that I was given the chance to revisit these cards in my own style of Art Nouveau.

Just last month I completed The Ethereal Visions Tarot Deck with a new understanding and appreciation for tarot and its practitioners. But I also had gained much more experience and skill with the traditional mediums I had chosen to use for that campaign – pen and ink, pastels, and 18k gold leafing on boards. So much that I was sad to see the deck creation process end. I felt I had much more to contribute to this enormous world of tarot. Then suddenly, I began to have vivid dreams of images that would be ideal as cards! Each morning I would wake up with a new card design that I would immediately sketch out and design. I began to see a relationship between the cards – each image was loosely based on a mythology that I had been exposed to in my life as an artist. These mythologies were global in origin but universal in meaning. The list grew quickly and is now 36 cards in total! So naturally I decided to take the next logical step – a second deck.

And so here we are today with a second Ethereal Visions Kickstarter. Unlike the first, this Oracle deck will consist of 36 original concept cards that will draw inspiration from world mythologies, symbolisms, and beliefs that will speak to a wider audience. These Oracle cards can be used with or without the original Ethereal Visions Tarot Deck and will come with a booklet describing each card, its use in a reading, and how it can be used in a specific card spread.

Help me bring this deck alive by supporting the Kickstarter. Click the link below and reserve yourself a stunning, exclusive art deck before they sell out!
